Welcome to the Swiss Text Analytics Conference (SwissText), the annual Swiss conference that brings together experts from industry and academia in the areas of text analytics, natural language processing (NLP) and computational linguistics.

1. The 10^th SwissText Conference 2025 on May 14 and 15, 2025  – for NLP experts from industry and academia
2. The Swiss NLP Expo 2025 on May 13, an exhibition of NLP solutions with up to 100 exhibitors and 500 visitors
3. NLP Crash Course – Insightful sessions on practical applications and fundamental technologies of Natural Language Processing, running biweekly from January to May 2025

The SwissText conference is organized by SwissNLP, the Swiss Association for Natural Language Processing

SwissNLP aims to promote Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computational Linguistics and Text Analytics in Switzerland. It brings together experts, solution providers and customers from industry and academia and organizes events and projects for NLP in Switzerland. We also distribute datasets that have been created as part of our projects.

SwissText was initiated in 2016 by Mark Cieliebak, Professor for Natural Language Processing at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). From 2016 to 2019, it was hosted at ZHAW in Winterthur. In 2020, it was supposed to take place in Zurich, but due to Corona, we had to switch to an online setting. In 2021, it was again online, and since then it “moved” through Switzerland, from Lugano (2022) to Neuchâtel (2023) to Chur (2024). In 2025, the 10^th edition of SwissText will be hosted again in Winterthur, as part of the Swiss NLP Days 2025.
